As the world navigates a global pandemic – Coronavirus Covid-19, it is our responsibility to insure the safety of our members and the programs and communities they serve. The Fraser Valley CCGA Regional Manager and the Board of Directors will be practicing self isolation effective immediately until further notice. We encourage our membership to follow the guidance of the  WHO, the Federal Government of Canada and the Provincial Government of British Columbia and practice safe social distancing.

As of March 24, 2020 – COVID-19 Update for Community Gaming Grants Recipients

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is closely monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and is aware of its impact on many Community Gaming Grants’ recipients and their delivered programs and capital projects.

Community Gaming Grants wants to reassure all applicants that applications are being received and processed as per the 2020 Guidelines. For example, if Annual General Meetings are being suspended or programming such as festival events are being postponed, you should continue to apply as normal. Community Gaming Grants will provide additional guidance as the situation unfolds.

The Ministry’s top priority is the health and safety of B.C.’s communities, volunteers, and staff. We ask our clients to also adopt this as a top priority when making decisions around changes or cancellations to programming. We are fully committed to supporting our grant recipients during these challenging times.

For the most up-to-date information about COVID-19 from the Province of B.C. please refer to the COVID-19 Provincial Support and Information website, the BC Centre for Disease Control and HealthLink BC.

The FVCCGA will be working with their members to conduct virtual workshops using the free digital meeting software – Zoom. A user friendly meeting app that will allow you to join our workshop with or without a camera and microphone.
